Home made jet engine
This is by no means an original idea on my part, in fact all the hard work is being done by my brother. If you google around you can find more stuff on this.
You get it spinning with compressed air and then fire up the spark plug.
It needs a few tweaks to get the system balanced, the gas is "direct in" (vapour feed), no regulator. The only control is the ball valve you can see in the pic.
I haven't tried brewing with it yet, but I'm guessing it would get the HLT up to strike temperatures pretty quick 
I will try to get some pyrotechnic video when some of the wrinkles are ironed out.
